Case Studies

To date over 300 organisations - from both the public and private sectors - have taken the Loreus route to improve their performance.  Our software is currently being used to underpin the BEST Network, a public-private sector partnership which aims to revolutionise business efficiency and sustainable technology in the East Midlands and which is backed by the European Regional Development Fund.

EcoCampus: Founding Partner and Software Support

EcoCampus is a national Environmental Management System (EMS) and award scheme for the higher education sector.  The scheme allows universities to be recognised for addressing key issues of environmental sustainability.

The EcoCampus project is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and is a collaborative project between Nottingham Trent University (NTU), Loreus Ltd and key partners, the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) and Environmental Campaigns (ENCAMS).

Loreus has developed the scheme and its software will involve further developing EcoCampus as a sector specific tool for rewarding EMS implementation and will link with 10 Universities, to pilot the schemes development.  The scheme will run from December 2005 to December 2008.

The key and innovative aspects of the Loreus software tools are that it offers a phased, modular and incremental approach to developing an EMS that is tailored to situations where resources are limited or inexperienced.
