Climate Change & Global Warming
The environmental impact of emissions in relation to your organisation
The climate of the planet is a finely balanced system. Any change to that balance can have global implications. Climate change has been linked to greenhouse gasses such as carbon dioxide, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), methane and chloro-flouro-carbons (CFCs). These gasses trap infra-red radiation in the atmosphere resulting in global warming. In effect, the greenhouse gasses act like a blanket preventing heat loss, warming the atmosphere.
As the average temperature of the planet increases a number of changes can occur such as changes in weather patterns developing more flooding, drought, violent storms, hurricanes and typhoons. Extinction of species can also occur because of the overall warming of the planet, and natural resources are depleting as we continue to waste energy.
The good news is, we can reduce our environmental impact. By becoming carbon neutral, organisations can counteract the amount of emissions and waste they produce. Loreus are here to help make this process as straight forward as possible, so contact us to find out how we can help follow best practice.
