Loreus Ltd Environmental Policy
Loreus Ltd is a leading provider of professional environmental consultancy, training and software solutions. Our professional and highly qualified consultants provide a comprehensive environmental consultancy service. We are experts in the implementation of environmental management systems (EMSs) in line with the British Standard BS8555, the European standard EMAS and the international standard ISO 14001. Loreus also provides expert face-to-face and e-training using a state-of-the-art e-training platform. We have a suite of innovative software tools to help organisations rapidly and efficiently develop, implement and operate an EMS.
Loreus is based at a Nottingham Trent University and has eight employees. At Loreus, our senior management initiates and gives full support to our environmental policy. As a responsible company we intend to grow and develop in a sustainable manner. However, we recognise that our operations have impacts on the environment and we are committed to reducing these.
We are committed to continually improve our environmental performance and we have an EMS to achieve this in a structured way. The company is committed to providing the human and financial resources required to operate the EMS. The EMS covers all the operations at our offices in the East Midlands. It is our Policy to:
- Integrate environmental management into our day-to-day business operations to ensure environmental issues are addressed, whilst providing a quality product to all our customers.
- Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and requirements.
- Reduce our use of natural resources such as energy and water.
- Reuse resources whenever possible rather than dispose of them.
- Encourage the use of recycled materials and recycling initiatives.
- Prevent pollution by reducing emissions and discharges.
- Provide appropriate environmental training for all our people and encourage them to support this Programme.
- Promote communication with internal and external interested parties and respond appropriately to reasonable requests for information about our environmental performance.
- Ensure that all our people and the general public can access our policy.
